Springbox Wins Circuit City Contract, Partnership Grows

Springbox has partnered with Circuit City to help the electronics retailer grow and strengthen its brand through innovative multichannel marketing strategies.
The Austin-based marketing firm is leveraging technical expertise and creative talent to develop e-commerce solutions that generate revenue and foster a sense of community among Circuit City consumers. By delivering fresh concepts such as the Digital Dorm Room, an interactive tool that simplifies shopping for students via Flash animation and dynamic data feeds, Springbox is providing Circuit City with purchasing portals that appeal directly to key demographics. Engaging microsites like the Windows Vista Info Center allow users to learn about next-generation technologies, then easily purchase related products on the Circuit City website.
“They were looking for a partner with technical expertise, experience with multi-channel integration within large retail sites and outstanding creative talent. We’ve got it all,” says Julia Roadman, director of account services. “We have the e-commerce tools to take a site to the next level and as Circuit City’s partner, we’re doing just that.”
So far, the partnership has produced great results. “We can do much more than just make a site look good, and Circuit City was drawn to that,” says account supervisor Bryan Hjelm. “We’ve got a foundation of metrics and analytical knowledge that comes from extensive client-side experience. So when we talk about creative, it’s not only to make the sites elegant and intuitive — it’s creative that drives profit, creative for the bottom line.”
Springbox currently has several projects in the works for Circuit City. The latest launch includes the Holiday Hub, an online store showcasing innovative purchasing options and applications optimized for gift hunters. The site represents an evolutionary step in building Circuit City’s online brand and exemplifies the growing relationship between the two companies.
