Springbox Offsite Rocks the Boat
Austin, TX — Jul 25, 2008
Members of Springbox, an interactive marketing agency, set sail on Lake Travis for an offsite event and literally rocked the boat, tubing, hobnobbing and enjoying musical performances and DJ sets from Springbox employees.
Company offsites, which occur a few times a year, are one of the many ways that Springbox distinguishes itself from other agencies. This particular offisite took Springboxers from the Austin office on Congress Avenue to Lake Travis via charter bus. From there they took to the water on two double-decker party barges filled with food and other festivities. Dan Isaacs and Adam Moore, co-founders and co-presidents of Springbox, made a surprise appearance on a speedboat just as the barges were setting sail.
Highlights of the day included performances by Springbox’s very own musical talent. Indie pop quartet Hollywood Gossip and one-man “electro-funktionaire” Neiliyo played to energetic crowds, while DJ Gmau made heads nod — before, after and in between sets. Their performances were so entertaining that people on neighboring party barges could be seen dancing to the music throughout the day.
"Our offsites help keep morale high," explains Springbox Co-President Dan Isaacs. "They give us the chance to blow off some steam and celebrate our achievements, Springbox-style." With events like these, it’s no wonder the agency has been recognized by the Austin Business Journal as one of the Best Places to Work in 2008. One thing’s for sure — the entire team felt that Springbox love in their toes.
